Sigma (capital tiny Σ , σ , written at the end of the word), in Greek σῖγμα , of the Greek alphabet is the 18th letter.
It has also a “lunar” form Сс resulting from the uncial writing from which the С from the Cyrillic alphabet is resulting, which is worth also /s/, whereas the C of the Latin alphabet is a deformation of the Gamma (Γ) Greek.
