Sigismond Malatesta , in Italian: Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta (Brescia, June 19th 1417Rimini, October 7th 1468), called “ the Wolf of Rimini ” ( it lupo di Rimini ) lord of Rimini, Fano and Cesena (1432 -1468).

Sigismond Malatesta is a famous historical character for his treasons and its provocation towards manners of the time. He was regarded by his contemporaries as one of the most frightening military chiefs of his time. He took in particular the head in 1465 of the Venetian forces at the time of the countryside against the Ottoman Empire. Its technical ideas were formatted by Roberto Valturio in its famous treated Of Re militari . It also protected arts, employing Agostino di Duccio, Leone Battista Alberti and Piero della Francesca.

Member of the House of Malatesta, Italian nobility and lords of Rimini of 1295 to 1500, date on which César Borgia expels them city.
