Sigil (magic)
A sigil or seal is a graphic figure which represent, in magic, a being or a magic intention. The term comes from Latin " sigillum " who means " signature".
In the medieval magic ceremonies, the sigil was often used in order to refer to the occult signs various representatives the angels and demon S which the magician called upon.
With the XXe century, the sigils magic S are most of the time visual concentrations of the will of the magician. The concept was created by it by the painter and occultist Austin Osman Spare. It developed a method by which a magic intention based on an unspecified fate could be returned in the form of drawing carrying the magic intention projected in him by the will of the magician.
