Sidney Poitier (born the February 20th 1927 with Miami) is famous a Acteur and American Réalisateur , of origin Haiti enne by his/her father.

Biography

Born with Miami, Florida, at the time of a voyage of his/her mother, Sidney Poitier grew in the small village of Cat Island, with the the Bahamas. His/her father an Haitian, a grower of tomatos sent it to the the United States at the fifteen years age. Impassioned cinema, it ends up becoming pupil of the prestigious Actors Studio of which it paid the courses while being caretaker there. It was named for the Oscar of the best actor in a first role in 1958 with the Chain ( ), before gaining this reward in 1963 for the Lily of the fields . He becomes at the same time the first black actor to gain this price.
