Sidi Ali Ben Ziyad
Sidi Ali Ben Ziyad is a Saint and Jurisconsulte Tunisia N of origin Persian.
He passes his youth to Tripoli before fixing himself then at Tunis where he teaches until his death at the end of the 8th century.
Traditionalist, it is of him that the doctors Kairouan the most famous boards learn the Hadith S. Among them appear Imam Sahnoun, Al-Bahloul Ibn Rachid, Sajara Ibn Issa Al-Maârifi and ESA ibn Al-Furat (Théologie N and man of war which will undertake the conquest of the Sicily).
Its modesty is such as the governor of the Ifriqiya making it require of Kairouan, Ben Ziyad arrives in the city assembled on its ass. Its reputation of holiness is such as many townsmen wanted to be buried, with their death, near his tomb which still exists at the end of the street which bears its name (behind the Dar El Bey) to Tunis.
