Sidestepper
Sidestepper is the artistic name of the producer and British Dj Richard Blair
After having worked during several years in the studios Real World of Peter Gabriel for certain numbers of international artists, Richard Blair moved with Bogota, Colombia, in 1992. This voyage, programmed initially like a fast visit, converted into a three years stay, during which Blair immersed himself in the rich person Colombian music scene. There, he was producer and engineer for several albums of Carlos Vives the pioneer of the pop-vallenato music, and for the rockers of the group Los Aterciopelados. During this same period, it impregnated major sound of the rates/rhythms afro-Colombian, cuban traditional sound and repertory of Salsa which found the current Colombian music.
Once of return in England, Blair produced a series of individual who awoke a great interest and where amalgamated the traditional Latin music and the drum' low avant-garde. Later, Blair launched on the market the album " More Grip".
