Siderópolis

Siderópolis is a city Brésil ienne southern of the State of Santa Catarina. It is located by a Latitude of 28º 35 ' 52" south and by a Longitude of 49º 25 ' 28" west, with a Altitude of 147 meters. Its population was estimated at: 13081 inhabitants in 2006. The municipality extends on 263 km ².

It belongs to the Carboniferous Metropolitan region.

The major part of the inhabitants of Siderópolis are descendants of immigrants Italy NS originating in Venezia (Venice, Trévise, Belluno and Forno di Zoldo), or in Bergamo and Ferrare. Siderópolis is a quiet city whose natural wealths attract always more tourists. In March 2006, the new stopping of the Rio São Bento, in the locality of Rio Jordão , was inaugurated in Siderópolis.
