In Pharmacology, a side effect or side effect is an effect occurring in addition to the desired principal effect during the application of a Traitement, like, for example, the absorption of a substance. It is generally about a Undesirable effect of the treatment, although unquestionable of these effects are required: the plate effect antiagrégant of aspirine for example.

The definition of a side effect is a question from point of view.

For example, a drug tried cause a drop in the blood Pressure, the Minoxidil, proved to be delicate of employment for this use, but proved to make push back the hair. One made a lotion of it, transforming the indeed primary side effect.

An side effect can be benign, i.e. without danger, but can also be very dangerous for the organization to which it applies, or quite simply unpleasant.
