Side channel in the Meuse
The side Canal in the Meuse (in Dutch Lateraalkanaal ) is a channel in the Dutch Limbourg.
The channel is located between Heel and Buggenum. Its length is of 8 km. The channel proposes with the River navigation a route faster, shorter and simpler than while passing by the traditional route of the Meuse. While passing by this channel, the boats meet only one lock, that of Heel, instead of two, those of Linne and Ruremonde.
