Sid Ahmed Ghozali

Sid Ahmed Ghozali (Arab: سيدأحمدغزالي) (born the March 31st 1937 with Tighennif in Algeria) is a Algerian Politician.

At the exit of independence, member of FLN, it is combined with Houari Boumedienne. This last, after its arrived in force at the capacity, names Sid Ahmed Ghozali with the head of Sonatrach of 1966 with 1977, date on which he becomes energy and Minister of Industry. In 1991, the government cancels the elections, anticipating a victory of the Islamic front of the Hello (MADE). The country enters then a civil war, which opposes the islamist groups and the government via the national popular army. In January 1992, Chadli Bendjedid presents its resignation under the pressure of generals, and it is Mohamed Boudiaf which becomes the president High committee of State. Ahmed Ghozali is then isolated capacity. It presents candidature for the presidential election of 1999, and 2004, but it is without success.
