Geography

Located in France department of the Haute-Garonne area the Midday-Pyrenees Suburbs south-eastern of Toulouse.

It is a Communauté of agglomeration south-east Toulousain which gathered 57.848 inhabitants in 1999.

Composition

36 communes:
Aureville, Auzeville-Tolosane, Auzielle, Ayguesvives, Baziège, Belberaud, Belbèze-with-Lauragais, Castanet-Tolosan, Clermont-le-Fort, Corronsac, Deyme, Donneville, Escalquens, Espanès, Fourquevaux, Goyrans, Resulting, Labastide-Beauvoir, Labège, Lacroix-Falgarde, Lauzerville, Varennes, Mervilla, Montgiscard, Montlaur, Noueilles, Odars, Péchabou, Pechbusque, Pompertuzat, Pouze, Ramonville-Saint-Agne, Rebigue, Old woman-Toulouse, Vigoulet-Auzil

History

The S yndicat I ntercommunal for the installation and the development of the Co teaux and the valley lée of the Hers at summer initiated in 1975 by Auzeville, Auzielle, Castanet, Escalquens, Labège and Saint-Orens (which since went to join Grand Toulouse), at end of mutualisation of the Professional tax. Its seat was at the origin with the town hall of Labège.
