Sick Puppies (" pups malades") is a indie rock group originating in Sydney, in Australia. It was formed by the singer/guitarist Shimon Moore and the bass player Emma Anzai in the room of music of the Mosman college in 1997. Chris Mileski joined the group as a beater later.

Beginnings

The group was pointed out in 2001 when their title Nothing Really Matters gained the award " Unearthed" , competition organized by the Australian radio Triples J with an aim of discovering new talents. They left their first album Welcome To The Real World the same year and accepted the reward of " better performance" at the time of a festival of rock'n'roll in Sydney. This album was with the supposed departure to include a humorous resumption of individual Destiny's Child, Say My Name , interpreted in a style post-grunge/nu metal. The song was not finally integrated into the album following the threats of continuations on behalf of the label of Destiny's Child. The title was however diffused on Internet and can be easily found on the networks P2P.
