The Sicherheitspolizei is a secret police of state allemande created in 1936 by Heinrich Himmler in agreement with Hitler. There exist two bodies:

• Sicherheitspolizei (Police force of Safety) called commonly Sipo
• Sicherheitspolizei und Sicherheitsdienst (Police force of safety and Security services) called commonly Sipo-SD

History

The June 17th 1936 appears a decree which unifies the police force of order (Ordnungspolizei) and organizes it safety (Sicherheitspolizei) which includes/understands two branches; the criminal section “Kriminalpolizei” and the Gestapo (Geheime Staatspolizei). Heinrich Himmler is named with the head of this new organization, with human means which let appear quarrelsome intentions. Himmler will recruit 50.000 men as a civilian and 200.000 men in black uniform engaged among the most subordinated and disciplined soldiers (Schutzstaffel or S). The police force of safety Sipo (Sicherheitspolizei) is in charge of the internal security i.e. of the monitoring of the enemies of the Nazi party like the Marxist , the Communiste S, the Juif S, the freemasons and the political clergy. the Police force of safety and the security services (Sipo-SD) managed by the Gestapo has wide capacities and frequently uses of expeditious methods like the summary executions, torture… etc Her activity is primarily concentrated on the continuation of the political opponents, the Résistant S and the Juif S.
