Sicambres

The Sicambres were Germanic people established, at the 1st century before J. - C., on Right Bank of the the Rhine (between the rivers the Ruhr and Sieg).

Curve the head, proud Sicambre!

This sentence was pronounced by Remi, then bishop of Rheims, at the time of the baptism of Clovis into 496 with Rheims. Sicambres had then joined the Belgium and had merged little by little with the Francs.
