The khanat of Sibir was, of 1428 with 1600, one of the Mongolian kingdoms resulting from the bursting of the territory of the Horde of Gold. The Sibir is in Western Siberia (Siberia says Russian Sibir' in ), in the area of current the Tobolsk.
The khanat was founded by legendary Khan One, who was killed in 1450. It was largely impregnated by the culture of the latter and exported Fourrure S in all Asia.
The domination of this khanat was the object of fights between the clan of Khan One (and of his Tajbugha son) and the clan of the khan Scheibani. During the reign of Ibaq Scheibani (1464 - 1495), the khanat of Sibir demolished supervision of the Uzbek and fought victoriously against the other tribes of the Horde of Gold. İbaq was assassinated by the clan of Khan One and Mamıq, resulting from this clan, reigned then on the khanat.
During second half of the sixteenth century, the khan Küçüm, nephew of Ibaq, tried to introduce Islam, but the shamanism was maintained. In 1571, combined with the khanat of the Crimea, it refused to pay the tribute with the Tsar of Russia, but the khanat appeared fragile thereafter.
Between 1582 and 1598, the khanat resisted after a fashion the attacks of the Cosaques, but in 1598, the khan had to flee and the country passed definitively under the Russian domination.
