Shutruk-Nahhunte

Shutruk-Nahhunte is a king élam ite, whose reign goes approximately from 1185 to 1160 before J. - C. Him and its two sons and successors Kutir-Nahhunte III and Shilhak-Inshushinak carry the kingdom élamite to its apogee.

Bench with Suse, it launches out in various military forwardings in direction of the kingdom of Babylon. It seems that it is justified by the fact that following matrimonial alliances between the dynasty élamite and that of the Kassites, which reigns then in Babylon, it is able to claim with the throne of the prestigious city. Its first campaigns move towards the area of the Diyala. Assisted by his Kutir-Nahhunte oldest son, it directly attacks Babylonia towards the end of its reign, and it succeeds in seizing its capital, which it entrusts to his son. He dies shortly after this great success.
