Shutford

Shutford is a small village in the west of Banbury, in the north of the county of Oxfordshire, England. The village is very old, probably founded during the time saxonne; there is archaeological evidence which there has existed for one old era. The ground where Shutford is undulating, nevertheless very fertile. The area has a very green appearance during all the year, even the winter.

Geography and climate

The climate of Shutford is not very varied, whatever the season. As the remainder of the country, Shutford benefits from a climate martime, with little heat but much rain. Under the influence of a continental wind (of the east), Shutford could try out extremes of temperature, like the summer in 2003 and the winter in 1995-6. The falls of niege in winter are more frequent than the heat waves in summer.
