Shunroku Hata (1879 - 1962) was a Japanese general during the Second world war.

In 1888, the young person Hastened between in the Armée imperial Japanese woman. In May 1939, it becomes Aide-de-camp as a chief of the Empereur Showa, until his nomination as Minister for the Army, function which it will occupy until July 1940.

Of 1942 with 1944, it is ordering Japanese occupying army in China. It is in particular under its orders that in May 1943 the massacre of Changjiao took place.

In 1944, it becomes ordering 2nd General Army which must take care of the protection of the south of Japan. After the war, in 1948, it is condemned by the Tribunal of Tōkyō to the prison to perpetuity for war crimes. Released with its pars in 1955 by the government of Ichiro Hatoyama, he died in 1962
