Shugo

The shugo () was a provincial civil servant shōgunal or of a Shōen (), or " military governor of province" during the eras Kamakura and Muromachi with the Japan. They were in charge of and the control maintenance of law and order of the warriors in the province which was allotted to them. They had only little authority and, in the event of serious situation, had in réfrérer with the Bakufu or the Shōgun .
