Twinnings
- Zutphen (Netherlands), officially since 1977, but the first intentions go back in October 1945, when the mayor of Shrewsbury, Harry Steward, expressed the intention to make “adopt” the Dutchwoman city severely tested during the Second world war, in remembering the wound mortal received in 1586 by Sir Philip Sidney, resident famous of Shrewsbury, at the time of the Bataille of Zutphen against the Spanish occupant.
