Shovel

Pélé is the goddess hawaïenne of the Feu. Originating in Tahiti, it was driven out by it by her sister Namakaokahai the goddess of the Eau. It found refuge in the crater Kilauea and since of a simple “blow of heel” it pours floods of Lave to calm its anger.

Shovel gave its name to two formations volcaniques : the Hair of Shovel and the Tears of Shovel. The hair of Shovel is expelled very fluid drops of lava of a Volcan whereas they were in fusion. The passage in the atmosphere stretches them then longitudinally filament. The tears of Shovel are large drops of lava which have the form of Larme S.
