Shorts-track with the Olympic Games

The Shorts-track is present at the Winter Olympics since 1992 with Albertville (France), after having been sport of demonstration in 1988.

Nowadays, it is composed of eight tests: 500 m, 1.000 m, 1.500 m (men and women), Relay 5000 m Men and Relay 3000 m Women.

Each race is disputed by four skaters, the two first are qualified after each turn and the two others eliminated, until finally where the last four runners clash, the arrived first gains the test. The tests of relay dispute on the same format of qualification where four runners compose each relay.
