Shooting with the cord

The shooting with the cord or fight with the cord or souque-with-the-cord are a sport which opposes two teams in a test of force.

Two teams of eight people, whose total weight should not exceed a weight decided according to the category, align themselves with each end of a cord of approximately 10 centimetres of circumference. Two lines, separated by eight meters, are traced. Once the started play, each team tries to make exceed with the other its line or to make fall the adversary.

This sport belonged to the Olympic Games of 1900 with 1920.
