Shofco

Shofco , acronym of " Shining Hope for Community ", is an humanitarian association operating with the Kenya in the Bidonville of Kibera, in the suburbs of Nairobi. Shofco was born in February 2006 with an aim of being used like instrument of evolution with the young people as Kibera, while enabling them to develop their capacities as well as possible.

Structure

The majority of its members result from Kibera even. The internal structure of Shofco ensures independence, collective responsibility and fiabitity through the executive committee, head of the departments, and the general meeting. In order to put its activities into practice, Shofco is also divided into four departments:

Communication & information
Sports
Theater
Hygiene and health

Shofco is recorded in Kenya with the ministry for the Businesses, the Sports, the Culture and the Social services.

Philosophy

The transformation of the individuals passes above all by adequate information, and the creation of an informed company is the first step towards human development.
