Shoei

Shoei Co., Ltd (ショウエイ) is a company Japan ease specialized in the manufacture of helmet.

History

Company created by Eitaro Kamata in 1958 with the Japan, but it takes its origin in a specialized company in the manufacture of helmet for the construction trade as of 1954. It initially produces mainly helmet of motor bike in the field of the competition then in the field of the general public. The reputation of Shoei as quality stamp was first of all spread with the the United States in the Années 1960, when the mark Honda brought its credit and its supports, then some time later in Europe. Shoei Safety Helmet Corp. was established in 1968, little time after the construction of the factory of Ibaraki. The factory very last thing of the Préfecture of Iwate was built in 1989.

Since the beginning of the company, all the helmets of Shoei were designed and manufactured in Japan, although they are distributed and sold in the whole world. They are particularly popular in the United States.

Helmet GRV of Shoei was the first helmet to be used the fiber carbon and the Kevlar. Shoei also created the first system coverless thus the dual system of ventilation.

In spite of their success, Shoei remains a relatively small company, with a manpower below 500 people throughout the world.
