Shlomo Aviner

The Rav Shlomo Hayim ha Cohen Aviner is the Rosh yeshiva of the Yeshiva Ateret Cohanim located in the Moslem district of Jerusalem. He is regarded as one of the spiritual leaders of the movement religious Zionist.

Biography

Shlomo Aviner was born in 1943 with Lyon. Very implied in the youth movement Bnei Akiva, he becomes the national director about it. He is moreover titular of a qualification in electronic engineering and of a control in Mathématique.

When he emigrates in Israel in 1966, he settles in the Kibboutz Sdè Eliyahou in the north of the valley of the the Jordan, close to Study Bureau She' year. He then goes to Jerusalem in order to follow the teaching of Rav Zvi Yehouda Kook in the yeshiva Mercaz HaRav . He becomes then rabbi of the Lavi kibbutz, engages in the Defense forces of Israel, which he leaves with the rank of Lieutenant; he is currently lieutenant of reserve. Rav Aviner is currently used like rabbi as Study Bureau El.
