Shirley Chisholm is politicking American born the November 30th 1924 with New York and died on January 1st 2005 in Florida at 80 years.
It represented New York with the Congress of 1969 with 1983. It was the first black woman elected with the Congrès (November 1968).
In 1972, Chisholm candidate with the democratic nomination for the presidential election. It obtains 152 votes at convention but is largely beaten by George McGovern. Chisholm, woman, black and of left knew that its nomination was impossible but had decided to fight against the status quo.
