A ship cistern is a type of Navire cargo liner used for the transport of liquids in Vrac, in large cisterns or tank.
Presentation
One distinguishes these ships according to the type of cargo which they transport:
- the Pétrolier S transport the Pétrole and its derivatives. They include/understand also the largest ships in the world.
- the Chimiquier S transport the chemicals and are subjected to Draconian standards.
- the Tanker S and the Méthanier S transport gas liquid in tanks especially designed to resist the strong pressures.
- the Wine tanker S, in the process of disappearance, transported Vin.
- Some refrigerated ships, for example the orange juice conveyers, are actually arranged in the tankers and have means of refrigeration.
