Shinobi kenjutsu
The shinobi Kenjutsu (忍者剣術) is a Martial art Japan board of control of the saber (Kenjutsu) Ninto.
Contrary to the conventional practice of the kenjutsu , established by the Samurai S, the shinobi kenjutsu is freed from the formalism of the bushido to consider only the effectiveness. Kicks, of fist, attacks to the face with the Tsuka (handle) or the Tsuba (guard), jumps (cho yaku jutsu), in particular declad (Iai jutsu or nuki have) left hand (what was not current for the conventional warriors), false cases (saya)… All the blows are allowed. However, in spite of the whimsical aspect, one needs an excellent level of control of the saber to allow such acrobatics.
Indeed, the Ninjato is a saber a little shorter, rectilinear and more fragile than the katana, because often manufactured starting from remainders of sabers recovered on spot of battles by people having possibilities and skills less than those of the specialized and recognized blacksmiths. Moreover, as opposed to what the samurai called “the heart of the warrior”, i.e. their weapons, the practitioners of the shinobi kenjutsu regarded their weapons as simple tools without value, and it is not rare to see broken or abandoned ninjato. Their bad quality made of them weapons lower than the katana, their use thus was relatively limited to the attacks suprises or brought closer, rather than with the pitched battles.
The ninjato according to other sources would never have existed.
