Shining is a Série of video game created by Sonic Software Planning and Climax Entertainment for the account of Sega.

The various episodes of this series divide the same universe but are of various type, energy of the roleplay to the Strategy game with the turn by turn, while passing by the Jeu of adventure/action.

Shining Forces III

Shining Force III consists of three separate volumes whose intrigue is recut. Unfortunately for the players out of the Japan, only the first volume knew a world exit, other volumes remained confined at the Japanese market because of their less success and never were translated into English.

Three volumes (or scenarios ) are the following:

  • Shining Forces III Scenario 1 : God Warrior off the Kingdom
  • Shining Forces III Scenario 2 : Target: Child off God
  • Shining Forces III Scenario 3 : Bulzome Rising .

The exit of this play means the return for the series to the Tactical RPG , unlike the preceding episodes on Saturn which were Action-RPG ( Shining the Holy Ark and Shining Wisdom ).

The play is in 3D, contrary to the preceding episodes on Megadrive. This play is not at all in the same world as its two predecessors Shining Force and Shining Force II nor does not constitute the direct continuation of it. On the other hand, this play bears its name well because the gameplay , even if it were largely improved, remains practically the same one.

For the players who had bought three volumes, Camelot Software also published a disc no-claims bonus, called Premium Disc , with images, a visualisor of characters in 3D and others surprised, like the possibility of modifying the safeguards slightly. This disc is a collector very required by the fans of the series.

Scenario

Shining Force III has a very complete, interactive scenario full with bounces. It is advised to play the three scenarios in the order of the numbers. It is necessary to cling a little to starting to include/understand all the policy issues, but that quickly proves enthralling with the wire of the play.

The great characteristic of this play is on the one hand the interaction between the three stories suggested by each scenario, and on the other hand the fact that some of the actions of the player condition part of the continuation of the history, making certain characters available to the place of others, etc

Thus, it is frequent to cross the armies of the others scenarios (the army of Synbios thus crosses the army of Médion in the first volume) and thus to revive the same scene from another point of view in a forthcoming scenario.

Gameplay

The basic concepts of the series Shining (T-RPG) are the same ones, but the gameplay underwent great improvements.
