A shingling ( slashing in English), with the Hockey is a penalty, called against a player who tries to prevent an adversary from advancing by striking it with his stick.

Punishment

In the payment IIHF, the referee can sanction the player, with the choice, by:
  • a minor penalty (2 minutes) (except in the event of wound)
  • a major penalty (5 minutes) more one automatic penalty of méconduite for the match.
  • a penalty of match (25 minutes)
