Shijō
The emperor Shijō (四条天皇, Shijō Tennō , March 17th 1231 - February 10th 1242) was the 87e emperor Japan, according to the traditional order of the succession, and reigned of the October 26th 1232 with the February 10th 1242. Its personal name was Mitsuhito (秀仁).
Biography
In 1232, one year old, he becomes emperor when his/her father Go-Horikawa abdicates in his favor. His/her mother was Fujiwara No Shunshi (Sohekimon In, girl of Fujiwara (Kujo) No Michiie. He dies in 1242 of an accident. Because of sound very young age and death of the emperor withdrawn Go-Horikawa, the government during its reign is in fact ensured by the Sessho¯ Kujo¯ No Michiie and the Dajo¯-daijin Kintsune Saionji, of the parents on the maternal side.Consort
