Sheik Yerbouti
Sheik Yerbouti is the album more known and more listened to Frank Zappa; he was a good business success. Its title is a phonetic transcription of “shake your bootie” , that one could translate by “bulge your buttocks”. All the songs were recorded into live by Zappa during various dates - they all are new. Zappa parodies there the hard rock (I' m so Cute) , the ballades blue flower with the weak words (I Cuts Been in You) , the frimeurs of the nightclubs (Dancin' Fool) , the accros with cocaine (Flakes) , Bob Dylan (of the same piece name), and the american way off life (Bobby Brown goes Down) . One there finds tango, joinings sound ( Rubber Shirt where Zappa stuck a basic part and another of battery recorded on different songs and which however seem to be answered), of the songs rock'n'roll and the solos in the purest style zappaïen.
