Sheik Hadjibou Soumaré is a politician Senegal board, current Prime Minister.

Biography

Born with Dakar in 1951, Sheik Hadjibou Soumaré is titular of a control in economic scenes (1979) and diploma of the National school of administration and magistrature (ENAM). It began its career in the Région of Kaolack, as a municipal tax collector-receiver.

Deputy secretary near the Minister for the Economy and Finances in charge of the Budget and the Habitat since 2001, Sheik Hadjibou Soumaré is named Prime Minister of Senegal by President Abdoulaye Wade on June 19th 2007, after the resignation of Macky Sall which occupied this station since 2004.

Its promotion intervenes shortly after the legislative elections of June 3rd, 2007 which led, in margin of the watchword of Boycott of the opposition, with a crushing victory of presidential mobility.

The nomination of Sheik Hadjibou Soumaré in Primature constituted a surprise. Indeed its name did not form part of most frequently advanced for this station. Non-member of the Senegalese Democratic party (PDS), the new Prime Minister is introduced by the media before just like a discrete technocrat, without presidential ambition.

He is married, father of two children.
