Sheik-Hamidou Kane is a writer Senegalese born with Matam in 1928.

Biography

After studies of economy to the Sorbonne, during which he collaborates in the review Esprit and attends the intellectual circles, he is named, at thirty years, governor of Thiès

He is the author of the ambiguous Adventure (Julliard, 1961), tale of the tearing of an emigrated African in Occident taken between two Culture S: " If I say to them to go to new school (...) what they will learn worth is what they will forget? ". This book receives the literary Grand Prix of Black Africa in 1962.
