Sheedy ale

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born the June 13rd 1962 with New York), is a American actress of the Cinéma and scene which is especially known for its roles in the films The Breakfast Club and St Elmo' S Fire .

Childhood

Sheedy is born in New York from a catholic father Irish (John Sheedy) and from a Jewish mother (Charlotte Baum), Literary agent, implied in the movements for the Female condition and the Droits of the person. She is high mainly like catholic, although she was rather identified since like Buddhist and Jewish. His/her parents divorce in 1971 and his/her mother reveals in 1980 that it is lesbian. She has a brother, Patrick, and a sister, Meghan.

At the six years age, she dances with the American Ballet Theater and at twelve years, she writes a history for children entitled She Was Nice to Mice ( Mémoires of a souricette ) which is seen published by McGraw-Hill and becomes a bestseller (ISBN 0440478448).

In 1975, his/her mother brought a continuation against the owners of the Delicatessen Zabar' S, in New York, to have omitted to protect it from an attempt from aggression sexuelle. 

Career

Sheedy starts to play of the roles in local productions during its adolescence. After having played in several Telefilm S in 1981, like in three episodes of the Televised series Hill Street Blues in 1983, Sheedy makes its beginning with the cinema in Bad Boys (1983), a film putting in the high-speed motorboat Sean Penn. The Années 1980 are its most active period, with roles in WarGames , The Breakfast Club and Short Circuit .

Its career with Hollywood seems to have been difficult. She affirmed that she refused roles which to him were proposed because she would have had to play the sex object.

In the Years 1990, Sheedy is made look after for a dependence with the sleeping pills. It takes as a starting point this experiment when it interpète a photographer drug addict in the film High Art (1998), big step of its carrière.  It is identified then much with the character of the photographer Lucy Berliner.

In 1999, Sheedy interprets the main role of the Musical comedy Hedwig and the Angry Inch and is the first woman to play the part of the German transsexual Hedwig. She leaves this role following bad critiques. 

She finds her old Co-high-speed motorboat Anthony Michael Hall, of the film The Breakfast Club , when she plays the high-speed motorboat part in the episode Destinée ( Playing God ) of the television program The Dead Zone in 2003.

Private life

She is married with the actor David Lansbury, nephew of the actress Angela Lansbury and wire of Edgar Lansbury, the producer of the original production of Godspell . They have a girl, Rebecca, born in 1994.

Previously, it had had relations with the actor Eric Stoltz and the musician Richie Sambora.
