Sheathing

The sheathing is the whole of the parts which are placed on the couples on the interior side of the hull of a boat. Sheathing does not have as much importance than his/her close cousin the bordering which is him external side and makes the sealing of the hull. One could compare it to a lining but it nevertheless reinforces the general structure of the boat, it can be combined with an thermo isolation in the case of holds of refrigerated Ship.
Sailing ships and pleasure boats
The " vaigrage" is a coating inside a ship which hides the couples, deck-beams and glass fibers, composed of a fabric and a muslin it is rather thick. It does not have any structural effect on the bridge or the hull (except for a sheathing contremoulé out of glass fiber).
