A shear is a Outil near to the Ciseau, but larger to cut materials like wood branches or an iron plate.

The guillotine shears

There exists in particular the guillotine shears which is conceived to cut sheet. The vertical movement of the higher blade is ensured on each side by two arms of lever and its guidance by two adjustable bronze slides. The blunted or deteriorated blades can be reversed.
