Shawn Murphy

honourable the Shawn Murphy , C.P., C.R., B.B.A., LL.B (July 27th 1951 with Charlottetown, Island-of-Prince-Edouard -) is a Canadian politician .

Murphy studied with the Université of the Island of the Prince-Edouard and with the Université of New Brunswick, obtaining a diploma in right in 1976. It was allocated to the Island-of-Prince-Edouard and joined a local law firm, working near the future Prime Minister Joe Ghiz. In 1997, he became member of the Conseil of the Queen. Murphy is married and it has three adult children.

Murphy is currently member of the Liberal party of Canada to the House of Commons of Canada, representing the district of Charlottetown on the Island-of-Prince-Edouard since the federal election of 2000. At the time of the government of Paul Martin, it was parliamentary Secrétaire with fishings and oceans and it put its energies in the action plan for the oceans.

He was re-elected with nearly 50% of the voices to the Canadian federal election of 2004. In spite of the rumors on its possible vulnerability with the election of 2006, Murphy was re-elected with more than 50% of the voices.
