Shatterstar

Shatterstar is a Super-héros created by Marvel Comics (Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza), appeared for the first time in New Mutants #99 , in 1991.

Popular character of the series X-Force in the Nineties, it however always remained in lower part of some others, because of his past too little developed and sometimes contradictory (because of the massive rotation of the authors on this type of series).

Origin

Shatterstar comes from the future of a parallel world named Mojoverse, directed by the alien Mojo V. It was modified genetically to become a gladiator, the combat out of arena being very popular in this world cherishing television, the sport and the worship of the personality. According to the Deer, its DNA is the same one as that of Longshot. However, Shatterstar is different from the former member of the X-Men.

He flees of his constraint and became a rebel within the Alliance, which sought to reverse the reign of the Mojo tyrant. During this period, he married warlike Windsong, since deceased.

He found himself in Marvel reality (by temporal teleportation), at the moment when the mutant Cable founded X-Force starting from the remainders of the Nouveaux Mutants. After difficult beginnings, he became the friend of Rictor.

Later, he discovered that he had the memories of human named Benjamin Russell, a man without family and in the coma since many years. Benjamin and Shatterstar resembled themselves much. Longshot transferred the heart from Shatterstar in the body of the young man, and both amalgamated.

Nothing is however explained on this history shared memory…

An assumption says that Shatterstar is the son that could have had Longshot and Dazzler on MojoWorld…

After the dissolution of the team, Shatterstar only left and earned its living in the clandestine arenas of combat.

He again faced Spirale which sought to trap it.

Of return to earth, it joined Cable to overcome Skornn.

At the time of Civil War , Domino and released to him the 198 of the camp where they lived.

Capacities

Shatterstar is a warrior born. He is involved with the handling of the sabers, the fight and martial arts.
Its hollow bones, like those of Longshot, give him a formidable agility and a flexibility.
Its force and its endurance exceed those of human normal. It can raise approximately 1 ton. Its capacity of recovery is it also increased, and one already saw it to be impaled to voluntarily overcome his adversaries.
It has the capacity to generate (via its weapons) a beam of bio-force. But emitted energy is lost by Shatterstar, which weakens it with each shooting. It thus makes use seldom of this capacity.
Shatterstar uses two mystical swords with the combat. The blades cross the fields of force, and can be plain in one only large saber.
