Sharpening of the centres

The sharpening of the centres is a widespread traditional practice in particular with the Cameroun (where nearly a quarter of the Femme S would have undergone it) aiming at slowing down or not the development of the chest young girls by a massage carried out with heated objects (stone to be crushed, rammer, spatula, etc) (Pétrole, grass, greenhouses centres, etc). This practice, médiatisée than the Excision (the more so as it engages generally only the mother and the girl), does not constitute less a psychological Traumatisme and physics for those which were victims.

The goal (theoretical) of the sharpening of the centres does not have anything monk, it is to delay the passage to the Adolescence young girls so that the boys are not attracted by them, that they do not have a early Sexualité and that they are serious in their studies.
