Origin
A beginning in the crime
Todd Arliss was one of the best American Olympic swimmers. towards the end of its career, he undertook to earn money thanks to sponsors and publicity.Un day, on a boat, Arliss saved a man of the drowning but had the touched vertebrae, while being projected against the hull of the ship. Its career stopped. He sought the assistance of Doctor Dorcas and he left to settle with his young Diane sister in the manor of the scientist, with NYC.
Dorcas subjected the athlete to a treatment of radiations, to restructure the spinaux nerves, then transfigured its DNA to couple it with that of a shark-tiger. Then, after having captured Namor, it transferred its energy towards Arliss, shouting of pain. at the end of the operation, Arliss had become a man-shark, insane furious. It took refuge in the ocean.
It captured Lady Dorma and was taken in hunting by Namor. He managed to find Atlantis and asked the crown of it. It fought Seth in a duel and gained the fight. On arrival of Namor, Arliss had become monarch of Atlantis. Namor faced it and took again its title. Arliss was captured and of the scientists telamones tried to come to him to assistance.
He escaped one day and left the city.
He travelled to the Sargasso Sea and was combined thereafter with a Nazi, with an aim of using secret weapons, in a run submarine, but it was prevented by it by Namor and Manta.
One day, it saved Lady Dorma and Vashti of orcs épaulards, against the hand of Dorma. While Namor fought against Orka, it was combined with Krang. In the confusion of the combat, Arliss and Orka were absorbed in a seism.
The body of Todd started soon to regress and it realized that it owed " recharger" by draining the energy of Namor. It was combined with Llyra, which awoke a marine monster, Krago. Namor and the Human Torche faced the trio.
Later, Llyra tightened a trap with Namor and captured the sister of Arliss, Diane. She then sought to capture the father missing from Namor, Léonard McKenzie, but failed. Thanks to the plan of Llyra, Arliss recovered its capacities and it attacked Namor. Manta helped the Prince of the Seas, but in the combat, Léonard McKenzie was killed by Llyra, which escaped with Shark-Tiger. This last hid in the falls of the Niagara, where it was beaten by Hulk passing by there.
He sought to be avenged for Namor and was combined with Dorcas. Namor left Shark-Tiger for dead in the explosion of the underwater laboratory of the Doctor.
Later, Shark-Tiger and Dorcas were combined with Attuma. They took the control of the Seaplane base and captured Namor. Then, the Doctor Fatalis arrived with Betty Dean, an old conquest of Namor. The despot attacked Arliss and Attuma, and Dorcas killed Betty Dean accidentally, while wanting to draw on Namor. Fatalis moved away Namor and returned to the attack. Namor returned very quickly for a combat against its three enemies, and Dorcas was killed, and imprisoned Shark-Tiger.
Some time after, he escaped and captured Namorita, but Miss Marvel succeeds in overcoming it and he was imprisoned in Atlantis.
Later, Egg Tête released it from its underwater cell and within the Maîtres Evil recruited it. It left to release Whirlwind, the Scorpion and Opale. The group faced very quickly the Vengeurs. Shark-tiger did not make the weight against Miss Hulk and Thor and the Masters of the Evil were overcome.
But very quickly, Egg Tête released them and sent them to steal a prototype with the Shocker. They removed then Hank Pym at the time of its lawsuit. Pym succeeds in fleeing and Egg Head found death. The Avengers reflect Shark-Tiger in prison again.
At its exit, it was combined a time with the Fléau and the Scorpion. It was quickly recruited within the Masters of the Evil of the Baron Zémo, and the group left to the attack the manor the Avengers. The group faced the Black Chevalier and wounded Hercules seriously. In the tread, Whirlwind and Shark-Tiger faced Tigra, Hellcat and Daimon Hellstrom, but the supermen succeeded in putting it in prison.

One took it along on the island of Doctor Newell (Manta), where it awoke and took as an hostage the woman of the scientist, Diane, his/her own sister! It got rid of Manta and escaped with his sister. However, it saved his sister and Manta during an underwater crumbling, and one accepted his death.
It remade surface under the orders of Caid and fought against Wolverine.
Redemption
It later is revived pursued by two scientists wanting to dissect it, with the profit of research against cancer. With its great sadness, it is Namor which saved it.It accompanied a group by nomads telamones and fell in love with Mara, which it married. He consequently thought of leaving his life of super-unpleasant and was made call Arlys Tigershark. Mara fell pregnant. Whereas it was going to be confined, the Without-Face attacked the camping and killed it under the eyes of its husband. Arliss became insane and its wild nature took the top. Its tribe was entirely massacred, but it was saved by Tamara Rahn. It agreed to accompany the young woman with Atlantis to prevent that the Without-Face wandered through the ocean.
In Atlantis, it was captured by Namor and its guards, and almost carried out by Fen, the mother of Namor (in fact a disguised Without-Face). Tamara helped it to escape.
In their investigation, Namor, Shark-Tiger, Tamara and Seth were captured by the Without-Face, in a cave. The chief of the Without-Face, Suma-Ket attacked thereafter Namor, which it killed. Neptune appeared and returned the life to the Prince of the Seas. Tamara and Arliss turned over to protect Atlantis. On their arrival, Fen was with two fingers to sacrifice a baby. In the combat, the young person Dara (a cousin of Namor) was killed and the ritual is achieved. Suma-Ket and the Without-Face took Atlantis by the force.
Namor returned quickly with its army and its mother, Fen, in the body of Artys-Gran. Fen and Artys-Gran lost the life during the battle.
Tamara and Todd left food together in the Sargasso Sea, where they became the guards of the People of the Fogs. He faced the race of Tamara, the amazones Banari, with the assistance of the Fantastic Four, of Manta and Namor.
He formed then part of Deep Six, a team of marine supermen, but was driven out by it by Namor, which hated its brutality inhuman. He exiled himself with Tamara.
One then lost his trace during several years.

the body of Shark-Tiger has gills enabling him to breathe under water, and of the pointed and sharp teeth like those of a shark. Its vision is adapted it also to the watery environment.
- Its force is superhuman. It can raise 40 tons under water, and a little less on surface.

- Arliss can enter a state of hibernation, under water.
- Shark-Tiger needs to be hydrated regularly under penalty of weakening.
