The doctor Shapour Bakhtiar شاپوربختیار Iran IEN born in 1914 and dead is a politician the August 7th 1991. It was the last Prime Minister of Iran under the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

Youth

Shapour Bakhtiar was born in 1914 with Kanarak, a village close to Isfahan in the south-west of Iran, wire of Mohammad Reza ( Sardar-e-Fateh ) and Naz-Baygom, both Bakhtiari S. the maternal grandfather of Bakhtiar, Najaf-Gholi Samsam ol-Saltaneh, was named Prime Minister twice, in 1912 then in 1918. The mother of Bakhtiar died when it was seven years old. It went to the elementary school to Shahr-e Kord then to the college, initially with Isfahan then with Beirut (Lebanon) where it accepted a baccalaureat of a school French E.

Its period in France

In 1936, it leaves for the France. It receives a doctorate of Political sciences of the Sorbonne in 1939 as well as graduates of right and philosophy. As a firm opponent with any kind of totalitarianism, it goes voluntary in the French Army then combat the German occupation in the battalion with Orleans.

Political career in Iran

Shapour Bakhtiar turns over to Iran in 1946. In 1951, it is named by the Ministry of Labor, initially as a director of the department of the work of the Province of Isfahan, then at the same station with the Khuzestan, center of oil industry. In 1953, Mohammad Mossadegh is briefly with the capacity in Iran, before being deposited. Under the mandate of Mossadegh, Bakhtiar was deputy secretary with work. After the Shah was given to the capacity by a coup d'etat supported by the the United States and the the United Kingdom. In the following years, Bakhtiar was imprisoned on several occasions, for a 6 years total, its opposition to the Shah. It even became leading of the Front National, then illegal.

At the end of 1978, whereas the capacity of the Shah crumbled, and because Bakhtiar had been leading dissidence, it was selected to help with the creation of a civil government in the place of the government of public hello which had existed hitherto. It was named Prime Minister by the Shah, thus making a concession with its opponents, in particular the follower of the Ayatollah Rouhollah Khomeini. Although this was the cause of its reference of Front National, it accepted the station because it feared a revolution in which the communist and the Mollah S would seize the power in the country, which for him was synonymous with the ruin of Iran. The opposition did not wish to make compromise and the Shah was forced to leave Iran in January 1979; Bakhtiar left Iran for France in April of this same year.

French exile

Since Paris, Shapour Bakhtiar carried out the Resistance movement main road of Iran, which fought the Islamic Republic on her territory. In July 1980, it escaped an attempted murder in its residence from the Parisian suburbs, with Suresnes, which cost the life a police officer and a neighbor. But the August 7th 1991, Bakhtiar is killed by three assassins at the same time as his secretary, Soroush Katibeh, in its residence. One of the assassins was stopped in Suisse and was extradited in France. During its lawsuit in 1994, it admitted to be sent by the Iranian government to kill Bakhtiar.

Shapour Bakhtiar is buried in Paris, with the Cimetière of Montparnasse.
