Shannon Wright is a Auteur-compositeur-interprète of Folk and Rock, originating in Jacksonville (Florida). One often compares it with PJ Harvey.

It was the leader of the group Crowsdell. In 1998, following problems with their label Big Cat Records, the group separated and Shannon moved in North Carolina. It began the recordings solo. In the first albums she played practically all the instruments of the Guitare, with the Piano and the voices. Steve Albini produced several of its albums, which left to Quarterstick/Touch and Go.

She is known for her scenic performances, always very poignant and impetuous. She turned besides with Nick Cave, Dirty Three, Low, Man Or Astroman (of which the beater appears on three of the albums), and Sleater-Kinney.

She made various collaborations. Thus Joey Burns of Calexico plays of low on two albums while Shannon sings on " Last Things Last" group Rachel' S. In 2004 leaves Yann Tiersen and Shannon Wright a written album to four hands in two weeks with Yann Tiersen which resulted in three dates with the Transmusicales of Rennes in the month of December 2004.

After a long silence, Let in the Light , appears in March 2007 and gives place to a spring round through all France.
