Shanks

Shanks is a character of the Manga One Piece . He is the captain of a crew of pirates which includes/understands inter alia his second Ben Beckman, the very large Lucky Roux and the father of Pipo, Yasopp. He is 37 years old.

History

Passed

In its youth Shanks was foam on the boat of Gol D. Roger. He became acquainted with Baggy, him also foam. It is because of Shanks that Baggy swallowed the fragmenti-fruit.

Life with Fushia

Shanks has 27 ans.
Shanks and its crew had temporarily settled in the village where Luffy lived whereas he was yet only one child. It is on this occasion that they knew each other and the love of life of the crew gave to Luffy the dream to become the pirate, largest of the pirates, and to find the One part .

One day when the pirates returned with their spoils and celebrated their victory in a tavern, Luffy ate by error the fruit of rubber the which they had brought back. When they realized some, it was too late and Luffy had acquired capacities of elasticity of its members, but n the other hand it could not swim any more.

Higuma, the brigand of the mountains and his crew caused Shanks and its band but the brawl turned very quickly to their disadvantage since the clan was made control in a few seconds by part of the crew of Shanks. Higuma seized Luffy then and flees by the sea with a boat. Whereas they had moved away a little, a giant marine monster attacked them and devoured the brigand.

At the last time, Shanks saved Luffy of the drowning but it was made devour an arm by the animal which it made flee of a simple glance.

The following day, before the pirates do not set out again, Shanks entrusted its straw hat to Luffy and made him make the promise to come to return to him when he would have become a large pirate. This is why Luffy is due so much to this hat.

Shanks has 37 ans.
One re-examines Shanks in the history little but it seems to have a very great fame since one of the large corsairs, the swashbuckler Mihawk comes to visit him (for him to speak about Luffy). Before losing its arm, Shanks often made duels with him, which proves its power.
