Shanghai Gesture ( The Shanghai Gesture ) is an American film carried out by Josef von Sternberg, left the December 25th 1941.

Synopsis

Shanghai, international enclave, city appearing delivered to it even, populated individuals of all nationalities. Characters in the name of loan, with the secret past, evolve/move in a luxuriant casino pertaining to a called woman not less mysterious Mother Ging-Sling. Poppy Smith discovers this fascinating place and plunges under the influence of an indolent Egyptian in the hell of the play.

However, the casino is threatened of expropriation by a billionaire who monopolizes little by little the district. Mother Ging-Sling playing of its relations seeks to discover the identity of the purchaser to make it fall.
