Shameless (televised series)

Shameless is a Televised series British created by Paul Abbott and diffused since January 13rd, 2004 on television on Chanel 4. In France, the series is diffused since October 27th, 2007 on television on Europe 2 TV.

Synopsis

In the fictitious district of Chatsworth Estate, in the suburbs of Manchester, a family cash six children lives and survives under the cane of the father, Frank Gallagher. This one is without employment, alcoholic, egoist and makes it possible the family to live thanks to only one source of revenue: the weekly money order of the family benefits which it receives as a relative isolated since “disappearance” from his wife.

The elder one, Fiona, deals with (in the decreasing order of age) Lip (Philip), Ian which discovers its homosexuality, Carl with the shaven hair and the rather animal behavior, very mature Debbie for its young age and Liam the small last. At the commencement of the series, Fiona meets Steve resulting from the middle-class and which saw resale of cars “borrowed” according to its terms. Gallagher live in good agreement with their neighbors, Kev and Veronica, as débrouillards as them. The grocer where Ian works is managed by his/her lover Kash and Yvonne, his wife converted with Islam.

The first two episodes plunge immediately in the vissicitudes of the life of Gallagher. To check if his/her Ian brother is really homosexual, Lip requires of Karen to make him a fellatio under the table during one of the private lessons which Lip at it gives him; after the father discovers his daughter under the table, it attacks Frank which is drunk with the Jockey , its preferred bar. Frank is finally looked after by Sheila, the mother of Karen, which suffers from a Agoraphobie such as it did not leave her house since years.
