Centers of a line of Buddhism Tibetan

The Shambhala Centers: the Shambhala Training, founded in 1976 by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoché (1939 - 1987) on the legendary waked up kingdom of the same name, proposes a secular way of the practice of the meditation and offers lesson based on the vision which there exists of each one of us a source of waked up wisdom - or " kindness fondamentale" - that one can discover, cultivate and express in our environment.

In 1982, the group of study of the Dharma of Paris is rested by ten people who meet in the apartment of a student American couple of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoché. In 1989, the group rents a modest room street of the Green path, which becomes the head office of Dharmadhatu Paris. In 1995 a new step is crossed with the installation of the Shambhala Center of Paris street Titon. The Center presents the whole of the disciplines of Shambhala Buddhism: Training Shambhala, Dharmadhatu, Nalanda.

As the Shambhala line is transmitted hereditarily, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoché had trained his/her oldest son, the Sakyong Mipham Rinpoché, to fulfill this role since its childhood. The first important directive of the Sakyong was to gather the many activities of the pupils of its father under the banner of Shambhala International and to proclaim each center throughout the world like " Center Shambhala" who proposes the laic meditation, a spiritual training and cultural activities under the same roof.

In this frame of mind, the Shambhala community, guided by the Sakyong, continued to explore various manners of making known more the value of it had to offer. The review Shambhala Sun , for example, was distributed in thousands of kiosks and gained an international recognition for its thorough comprehension of the contemporary company and the quality of its graphics. The geographical expansion also continued with the establishment of a major center of meditation rural close to Limoges, in France. This center called Dechen Chöling, is a European Center of meditation and retirement of the sangha Shambhala which offers moreover the possibility of programs in residence and stays or retirements individual.

The visits of the Sakyong Mipham Rinpoché, the introduction of the Shambhala Training and Nalanda accelerate the development of the Sangha.
