Christophe Nonda Shabani , born the March 6th 1977 with Bujumbura (Burundi), is a player of Football of the Democratic republic of Congo of Burundian origin.
Career of player
He occupies the station of attacker. He is international Congolese. Following the example Zamorano, Elber or Sony Anderson, Shabani forge a reputation of attacker of elite in the Swiss championship by gaining the title of better striker in 1998. That which one then compares with Weah, engages with the Stage of Rennes for 2 years, marking on average 15 goals per season. It signs with the ACE Monaco, any expenses champion of France 2000, in order to rub with the gratin of the European defenders. Its first experiment of the League of the Champions will be of short duration, the ASM severely weakened by the departures (Sagnol, Barthez, Trezeguet, Lamouchi…) will not succeed in crossing the obstacle of the first turn. It is necessary to await the arrival of Deschamps to the orders so that the duet which it forms with Guily gives any satisfaction. The year 2003 marks the apotheosis of its career with a Coupe of the League glanée against Sochaux, a title of better scorer (26 goals) and some technical prowesses which gave the giddiness to the Lyons defenders. Shabani never really recovered from its wound contracted during the season 2003-2004 and its role was discrete in the epopee Monegasque until the finale 2004 of the Ligue of the Champions (in spite of its goal eliminating Chelsea in semi-final). After a passage to Roma, he seeks to start again himself in Blackburn Rovers.
2007 -
2008: of return of loan to the
ACE Rome. With the mercato of summer, it signs in favor of the Turkish club of Galatasaray for a 2 year old contract.
Nonda has the characteristic to have played with two national selections, that of its country of birth, Burundi, and that of his/her parents, the Democratic republic of Congo.
