Sfântu Gheorghe
Sfântu Gheorghe (in Hungarian: Sepsiszentgyörgy , in German: Sankt Georgen ) is a city of the center of the Romania in Transylvania on the Olt. It is located in a valley between the Monts Baraolt and the Monts Bodoc. Sfântu Gheorghe is the chief town of the Judeţ de Covasna.
It has 60 900 inhabitants (in 2002), whose majority are of Hungarian origin . There is also about 5 000 Tziganes.
History
Sfântu Gheorghe is one of the oldest cities of Transylvania, a document of 1332 mentions already a colony in this place. The name of the east city derived from local patron saint, Holy Georges.It was an economic and administrative center at the time of the Hungarian county of Háromszék, become today judeţe of Covasna and Braşov. In second half of the {{XIXe}} century, Sfântu Gheorghe developed industries textile and cigarière. For the Sicules, Sfântu Gheorghe is the center of the known cultural area under the name of Székelyföld, and shelters the Sicule National museum.
The city organizes two trade fairs each year.

- the public library built in 1832, seat of the municipal council
- the theater, used 1854 - 1866 as town hall
- the Bazar builds in 1868, with a bell-tower going back to 1893
